Welcome to WatchList – a Discord bot designed to help you keep track of TV Shows, Movies, and YouTube videos you want to watch. By using WatchList, you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the bot.

1. Acceptance of Terms

  • Service Description:
    WatchList is provided “as is” to assist with tracking media content through functionalities such as adding, listing, removing, tagging items, and auto-adding URLs from designated channels.

  • User Agreement:
    Your use of WatchList indicates your agreement with these Terms of Service.

2. Use of the Service

  • Eligibility:
    You must be a registered user on Discord and comply with Discord’s Terms of Service in order to use WatchList.

  • User Responsibilities:

    • You are solely responsible for the content you add to the watchlist (including URLs, names, descriptions, and tags).

    • You agree not to add any content that is illegal, offensive, or violates the rights of others.

  • API and External Data:
    WatchList retrieves additional media data from external APIs (such as OMDB and YouTube). We do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of such data. Use of the external data is governed by their respective terms.

  • Automated Features:
    Features such as auto-adding URLs will only process links from supported sources (e.g., IMDb and YouTube). Unsupported URLs are ignored.

3. Data and Privacy

  • Data Storage:
    WatchList stores watchlist entries, guild settings, and minimal usage statistics (such as guild IDs and timestamps) on our server. This data is used solely to operate the service.

  • User Identification:
    WatchList may include your Discord user ID (via mentions) as part of the watchlist entry. By using the service, you acknowledge that your public Discord information may be stored and displayed.

4. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • No Warranty:
    The service is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

  • Limitation of Liability:
    In no event shall the developers of WatchList be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the bot.

  • Third-Party Links:
    WatchList is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites, including IMDb, YouTube, or any other linked service.

5. Modifications

  • Changes to Service and Terms:
    We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service or these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of WatchList after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

6. Governing Law

  • These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
