Whats New?

Version 1.4.15

We’ve shipped a chunky WatchList update focused on making servers easier to manage and making watch decisions way more fun.

WatchList Polls (Finally)

You can now spin up a vote in seconds with the new /poll commands.

/poll new opens an interactive builder where you can:

  • filter poll options by tag (or use All tags)

  • choose whether to include watched entries

  • set auto-expiry (server default, never, quick presets, or a custom minute value)

  • set a custom question (or keep the default)

When the poll ends (manually or via auto-expiry), WatchList can generate results embeds including a winner-style display and a vote breakdown. If you want, it can also auto-post results on close so the whole channel sees what’s up.

🧭 A real Settings Panel

Instead of juggling a bunch of text-based settings, there’s now a /settings panel with a clean layout:

  • General: poll defaults, auto-add links, list page size, list sorting

  • Display: toggle posters and switch between Full vs Simple info (with a live preview)

  • Admin: permissions, update notifications, maintenance tools, and debug controls

It’s designed so server owners/mods can configure WatchList without needing a cheat sheet.

For more information on the settings panel, check out the Settings Page.

🔐 Role-based permissions

You can now decide who can do what—like who can add/remove items, create polls, or clear poll history. This makes it easy to run WatchList in bigger servers without everything being wide open.

🛠️ Admin QoL: Updates, Maintenance, Debug exports

This release adds a bunch of “keep it running smoothly” tools:

  • Update notifications: pick a channel and WatchList can post a message when the bot restarts on a new version.

  • Maintenance: clear closed polls (or wipe poll history entirely if needed).

  • Debug mode: start a session, reproduce an issue, then export a tidy zip (with redaction + safety caps) to help diagnose what happened.

⚙️ Under-the-hood improvements

Not as flashy, but important:

  • smarter autocompletes that stay within Discord limits

  • better embed/display controls (poster + simple/full modes)

  • various bug fixes
